About the Role
The Senior Sales Engineer is a technically deep, client-facing specialist responsible for engaging ATTOM's data clients through expert solution design, hands-on technical guidance, and comprehensive customer lifecycle support. This role partners closely with Sales and Account Management to understand a client's requirements and data environment, then architects and communicates solutions that fully address those needs.

Success in this role requires both technical credibility and a working understanding of how data moves, gets processed, and is used downstream in a customer's environment. The Senior Sales Engineer must be able to engage at the level of the customer's data — understanding warehouses, pipelines, and business data requirements — while also navigating the technical integration layer. Equally critical is the ability to stay on top of open items, communicate proactively, and operate as the person clients and internal teams can depend on to follow through.

What you will do:
  • Drive and close technical opportunities across ATTOM's product portfolio by partnering with Sales and Account Management to design, position, and deliver client-specific solutions
  • Lead discovery to understand, document, and develop personalized solutions that address each client's business requirements, data environment, and technical needs
  • Design and communicate solution approaches — including data delivery methods, integration options, and configuration — that bridge client objectives with ATTOM's capabilities
  • Deliver a repeatable onboarding process that leads to successful data delivery and measurable value for the customer
  • Act as the technical authority for ATTOM's data offerings — removing objections, building confidence, and ensuring clients fully understand what they are working with
What success looks like:
Technical Competency and Solution Design
Deliver expert technical partnership throughout the customer lifecycle. Understand the client's data environment — how data is warehoused, processed, and consumed — and design solutions that account for those realities. Translate client business requirements into clear technical approaches and ensure execution from design through delivery. This is both a technical and a data-fluent role; candidates who only understand one side will struggle.

Data Knowledge and Customer Solutions
Bring working knowledge of data concepts, data process flows, and data delivery methods to every engagement. Understand how customers receive, store, transform, and use data — and position ATTOM's products within that context. Be able to have substantive conversations about data quality, structure, and downstream business impact without requiring a technical translator.

Hands-On Technical Engagement
Engage credibly with client technical teams on API connectivity, data ingestion, and integration approaches. Maintain working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and XML. Support clients through technical onboarding and validation. API integration experience is a plus — the expectation is working familiarity and the ability to guide, not necessarily to build.

Customer Experience and Follow-Through
Own the customer experience from a technical perspective. Stay on top of open items, proactively communicate progress, and close loops without being asked. Clients and internal stakeholders should never have to follow up for status. Responsiveness and follow-through are non-negotiable expectations of this role — this is what separates a good SE from a great one.

Internal Collaboration and Process Contribution
Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Data teams to ensure cohesive delivery against client requirements. Contribute to the development of reusable assets and documentation that improve consistency and quality across engagements. This role contributes to process improvement — it does not own it.

Technical Training and Market Awareness
Stay current on the data industry, competitive landscape, and relevant tools and platforms. Develop training materials and deliver education to both internal teams and external clients. Serve as a credible voice on what is happening in the data space as it relates to ATTOM's offerings.

What we’re looking for:
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales engineering, solutions consulting, technical account management, or related client-facing technical role
  • Demonstrated understanding of data environments — including data warehouses, data pipelines, and data process flows — and the ability to engage customers at that level
  • Working knowledge of how business data requirements translate into technical solutions; background in data analytics or data operations is a meaningful plus
  • Strong track record of customer ownership and follow-through across complex, multi-stakeholder engagements
  • Proficiency in SQL for data exploration, querying, and validation — this is required
  • Familiarity with big data and cloud platforms preferred: Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, AWS Aurora, Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL
  • Working knowledge of APIs (REST, JSON, XML); direct integration experience is a plus
  • Experience in real estate, property data, or public records data preferred
What we offer
  • Hourly Rate $130,000-150,000 (Final salary offered may vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience)
  • Flexible work schedule
  • Flexible time off policy
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Employer-paid benefits
  • Employer-sponsored EAP (Employee Assistance Program)
  • Traditional 401(k) and Roth retirement plans with discretionary company match
  • Pet insurance
  • Employee referral bonus
  • Co-working/office membership through Regus

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
